History Making – almost 30 years of experience.

    In 1999, EFG Energy-Farming GmbH was founded by Reiner Borgmeyer. As a graduated business economist, he has been working in the field of wind energy since the early 1990s. After running his own advisory office for wind energy projects, he served as a managing partner for a wind turbine manufacturer in its development and finance division. Important companions in these days were the wind energy pioneers Ewald Seebode, Volker König, Günter Schmidt and Werner Napp.

    The international focus of Energy-Farming was established early through the collaboration with Zephiros EPE from Athens, Greece and its partner Sakis Karadimas. Mr. Karadimas and Mr. Borgmeyer are both managers in EFG Energy-Farming Holding GmbH today and cooperate in the field of development and operation of renewable energy projects.

    Together with his brother Henrik, Reiner Borgmeyer incorporated EEG Energie-Expertise GmbH in 2000. For more than 20 years, Holger Hämel and Matthias Kief have also been partners in the expert team responsible for the planning and realization of renewable energy projects. BioConstruct GmbH initially was a spin-off from EEG and today, is one of the leading European EPC contractors for biogas plants with over 350 plants in operation.

    Between 2002 and 2009 EFG Energy Farming GmbH was one of the shareholders of EFI Energy-Farming International AG (operating today as EFI Wind GmbH) and later of SeeBA Energy Farming GmbH, based in Stemwede and Mülheim an der Ruhr. Today, the shareholders of both companies still have friendly relations and co-operations on a project-to-project basis.

    In 2013 Energy-Farming and Landvolkdienste GmbH, Osnabrück established PEG Landvolk Energie GmbH as a joint venture to develop, build and manage windenergy projects. Until 2020 the company has successfully implemented several windenergy projects mainly in the district of Osnabrück. Since the complete acquisition of the company by Energy-Farming in 2020 it now trades under the name EFG Energie GmbH. The implemented projects are meanwhile administrated and managed by the affiliated company EFG WindparkManagement GmbH (WPM).

    Central company of the EFG-organization besides WPM is the EFG Energy-Farming Holding GmbH in the field of project development. With Stefan Thebing, who has over 25 years of experience in the field of windenergy both companies have a managing director with huge expert knowledge.

    In addition, Energy Farming is linked to various specialized partners through different kinds of participations (Partner). Thus, we cover the complete value chain of a renewable energy project, starting with the first concept about the construction then into operation and maintenance and finally to the repowering of the power station.
